War Party - “The Resistance” the new release featuring Chuck D from Public Enemy



With the rap industry under the heavy influence of drugs, sex, money, violence and alcohol, War Party “The Resistance” (featuring legendary rapper Chuck D) is easily one of the most important albums of its time. In a movement of music designed to fight the power of influence combining forces with Chuck D from Public Enemy is definitely a historic and momentous undertaking for an independent native rap crew from the prairies.

Along with the new album and the new video War Party is introducing a new group member to the world of natives in hip-hop. He is 23 year old Thane (Lyrically) Saddleback also from the Four Nation’s Reserves in Hobbema. Thane (TJ) stepped up to the plate when former band mate Karmen Omeosoo left the group in December of 2003. He has since more than filled Karmen’s shoes making a mark with his own unique swift style of lyricism.



In a strategic move to promote the new CD War Party is coordinating the release with one of the Canadian music industry’s most prestigious events. War Party The Resistance will be available at the NXNE Industry Showcase Thursday June 9, 2005 at the Vatikan 1032 Queen W. Show time is at 9:00 pm.
