The Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma and its Summer Youth Leadership & Arts Program will be sponsoring the Honor the Pawnee Youth Music Festival, July 2^nd, 2005. This official Pawnee Nation event and all-day music festival will take place during the 59^th Annual Pawnee Indian Veterans’ Homecoming Pow Wow weekend festivities. Other activities include language preservation presentation, handgame tournament, Pawnee Nation Academy Recruiting Fair, "Pawnee Idol" Talent Show, Breakdance Battle, 50/50 Raffles.

Nationally acclaimed hip hop and rap artists, including Culture Shock Camp, are scheduled to perform from noon to 6pm at the Pawnee Nation Wellness Center and at a concert and dance from 10pm-1am Saturday evening. Other performers include: Terry Tsotigh * Happy Frejo * Savage Family * Cecil Gray & Red Dawn Blues Band * MC Kane * Quese IMC * and Dj Shock B.

There is no admission charge to this drug and alcohol-free event and youth of all ages are welcome.
