Bringing pride, confidence and inspiration. The VanEast Urban First Nations Spirit Calendar gave exposure to First Nations women doing positive things for themselves and their communities. This year SAMAYA Photography is ecstatic to present the BC Aboriginal Distinguished Men 2006 Calendar, proudly featuring: Marcus Wooden, Travis Dugas, Clint Andrew, Dennis Thomas, Justin Kane, Leeland Askew, Andrew Dexel, Norman Charlie, Shelby Desjarlias, Jason Price, Willie Sellars, Jeff Ward, Link Baker, Clint George, Lloyd Cunningham, Soren Poulsen, Brice James, Otis Jasper, Derek Hansom, Mike Dangeli, Tony Adolf, Craig Edgars, Josh Gottfriedson, Sean Muir, Brandon Stiles and Jim McGraw. All First Nations/Metis men reside in various towns and cities within BC, of which hold many roles, including: Actors, Traditional Performers, Web Designers, Community Advocates, Support Workers, Contemporary & Traditional Artists, Academics, and Fathers. The goal of this Project is to Inspire, and Build Confidence in Our Aboriginal Communities, to give exposure for all of the greater Society to recognize and acknowledge Aboriginal Men working on their personal goals and commitments in their Communities. SAMAYA Photography invites all Media Sources to Support this BC Aboriginal Initiative to raise awareness of Aboriginal Men breaking into Mainstream with their Talents as well as working towards the betterment of their Communities’ Socio-economic status and commitment in the Healing Journey and the Preservation of Indigenous Culture.
