RezX VIP Party (Very Indigenous People) Edmonton, March 16 - Kinnie Starr, Manik, Cowboy Smithx and ReddNation added to the line up!


On Friday, March 16th the highly anticipated National Aboriginal Achievement Awards will come to Edmonton, Alberta to honor some of the highest achievers the Country.  On the same night, RezX Promotions will host its annual 'After Party' dubbed, "The 3rd Annual RezX VIP Party" short for "Very Indigenous People".  Promoter, Chris Ross says, "VIP doesn't mean it's for important people only, VIP means it's for 'Very Indigenous People', because we're important too".  So with that, Ross is inviting everyone to come out and enjoy a night of Aboriginal achievers, celebrities and entertainers.  The after party will take place immediately following the Awards at the Maverick Lounge (10229 – 105st, downtown Edmonton) with doors opening at 9pm.

Since RezX Promotions has organized an after party to coincide with the Awards in the past two years, this year should be one of the best.  When Saskatoon hosted the awards in 2005, RezX threw a major event featuring talent from Chester Knight and the Wind, Eagle and Hawk and Eekwol.  The next year when Vancouver hosted the awards, RezX threw another huge event with performances by Rezofficial, Sunday Skool Drop Outs and appearances by celebrities Adam Beach and Jennifer Podemski.  With this years Awards and RezX VIP Party in Edmonton, Ross says, "this years performers are the future of Aboriginal music…they're all young, fresh and up and coming!"



Recently, the stellar line up of artists was announced as this year promises to be something else.  Edmonton's own, Advokit, 118 and Benny will open things up, with Vancouver's Kinnie Starr with Okalani following, who happens to be performing at the Awards as well.  After that, Vancouver's own Manik will bring his west coast flavor of hip hop to the forefront as headliners and award winning rap group REDDNATION will finish things off with a bang.  But it won't stop there as DJ Hooligan and JMak will play the hottest hip hop and dance songs throughout the night to keep the crowd moving.  The evening's host and honorary emcee will be Calgary's own Cowboy Smith!  Aboriginal celebrities, entertainers and staff from the awards have been invited as this will be another star-studded RezX event.


This year RezX has partnered with Brad Crowfoot of nutly.net, to bring together some of the best young Aboriginal talent in Canada for an event that should be mesmerizing.  Remember, this event only comes once a year, so you better get the hottest ticket in town for the hottest after party around!  This event will also mark, RezX founder, Chris Ross's 27th Birthday, so of course you have to come out and enjoy a great night!
