Quoted from Rez-X Press Release Press Release - The 4th Annual Rez-X 49er Part 1 promises to be the Largest Ever, with a new venue, The Odeon and rap group Rez Official returning to perform. The biggest Aboriginal party of the year is coming back to Saskatoon during the weekend of FSIN Pow wow (Oct 19-21) and is moving to a much larger venue. On Friday, October 19th, The 4th Annual Rez-X 49er Part 1 will take place at The Odeon Events Centre and feature everything from models to a fashion show to the hottest Aboriginal music artists and so much more! Part 2 will be announced in the coming days, but Part 1 is when the action begins! Since every year the Rez-X 49er is sold out, Rez-X decided to make more room by booking The Odeon Events Centre which holds up to 1000 people and can accommodate everyone. So obviously the goal is to pack it to full capacity! It is the same venue where this year's Juno Awards After Party was held, and is the first time for the Rez-X 49er! Because of this, Promoter Chris Ross decided to take full advantage and turn the place into a night club setting to feature an exciting show that promises to top them all. Internationally known hip hop collective Team Rez Official, who performed in 2005's edition of the Rez-X 49er, will make their triumphant return to Saskatoon to headline. They will be performing tracks off their new album, “Follow the Leader” and debut their latest music video. Rez Official members, HellnBack, Stomp, Big Dro, and Tomislav will all be in attendance and offer some solo performances as well. The hottest club music throughout the evening will be provided by none other than Team Rez Official's Jay Mak. Further entertainment will include; a Fashion Show (designer TBA), the 'New RezX Girls', the Skillforce Crew (Bboy group) and other special performances TBA. “Every year, we only feature one or two performers, but this year we have added other elements to give it more of a showcase appeal”, says Ross, “Because we have the greatest venue in town, we plan to make a spectacle of it and pack this place with 1000 party goers, and basically give the people of Saskatoon the kind of club experience you would see in other big cities.” The 4th Annual Rez-X 49er Part 1, will be without a doubt a major event, as Part 2 being planned for the Saturday is still under wraps.
